Internet Safety Web Resources for Parents, Students and Staff

This BLOG is to provide parents, students and staff at Fair Haven Union High School with useful information available on the World Wide Web pertaining to Internet Safety. We try to provide the safest environment at FHUHS for students and staff with content filtering and monitoring. Posted you will find resources about Internet Safety including lesson plans and information for faculty and parent. The importance of this topic came up at a recent technology meeting. Many of us are concerned about how easily students are willing to give personal information out over the Internet to sites such as “My Space”. You may have noticed in recent news reports how dangerous this can be. Sites such as My Space attract a lot of students as well as child predators. While students do not access these sites in our schools, it is still important that we make our students Internet savvy and warn them of the dangers of inappropriate or unsafe use.
