Conjugation of regular -er verbs (“second conjugation”) in the present indicative

Here are the regular endings for -er verbs in the present (tense) indicative (mode):

	Singular	Plural
First Person	-o	-emos
Second Person	-es	-éis
Third Person	-e	-en

Thus (comer):

	Singular	Plural
First Person	como	comemos
Second Person	comes	coméis
Third Person	come	comen

Be Careful! It is the most natural thing in the world to vocally stress the endings above as you pronounce a new verb to help you remember the endings and to show your instructor that you know what they are. Try hard to avoid this tendency and to keep the stress in the correct location!
